Southwest Virginia Governor’s School

SWVGS is an Academic Year Governor’s School established to provide an accelerated and enriched science and mathematics learning environment of exceptional quality for gifted, bright, high-achieving students from across Southwest Virginia. SWVGS is a public school located at 100 Northwood Drive, Pulaski, VA, and currently serves students from the Counties of Carroll, Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Smyth, and Wythe, as well as the cities of Galax and Radford. 

Students are identified by GPA 3.0 or higher and completion of at least 3 of the following Math’s by 10th grade (Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2)
